A story of family, passion and transformation
The story of QuartoAtto isn't just the story of a brand, but the authentic journey of a family. A story of needles, threads, expert hands, and courageous decisions, stitched together over nearly a century of Italian tailoring.
It all began in Chianciano, in the 1930s, when our great-grandfather opened a small shop. A simple place, where dressing was still a ritual. From there, the business expanded to Rome, Florence, Caserta, and Cagliari: each city added a piece to a narrative of quiet elegance and artisanal precision.
In the 1960s, the baton passed to his grandfather: a meticulous, visionary man. With him , Camars was founded , an integrated manufacturing company with in-house tailoring, dedicated machinery, and a clear obsession: trousers. They were his signature, the garment into which he poured all his mastery. Jackets? Just extras.
Then our father arrived, the third generation. His vision broadened: travel, international markets, and new influences. A new vision was born, blending the Italian soul with the global horizons. Together with our mother, he made a courageous decision: he entrusted production to a collective of excellent artisans in Abruzzo. A partnership that continues to this day.
In the 1990s, SB Concept was born , distributed in leading showrooms like Breramode in Milan and selected by cutting-edge boutiques like Leclaireur in Paris, Barneys in New York, and Isetan in Tokyo. Trousers, once again, take center stage. For the first time, also in women's versions.
In 2007, Wool172 was born , a research laboratory for new wool treatments, always in the spirit of craftsmanship.
Maria and Marco: The Fourth Act
In 2022, we enter the scene: Maria and Marco , the fourth generation. Two complementary souls, two different approaches but united by the same vision.
Maria, after studying Economics and Management, chose to start in the warehouse: she wanted to understand every process from the inside. Marco, always immersed in the corporate world, also trained as a model, collaborating with major international fashion houses. His perspective is aesthetic, creative, and global.
Together, we take our time. We study, we listen, we delve into the archives. We rediscover fabrics, we test fit, we talk with artisans.
Thus, in the summer of 2024, QuartoAtto was born .
A brand that doesn't seek to multiply products, but rather to explore a single shape: trousers. With care, precision, and beauty.
Why "Act Four"?
It's a tribute. To the fourth generation. To the theater. To the cycles of time. To the four walls to be broken. And to that moment when one curtain falls and another rises.
Today, less than a year after its debut, QuartoAtto has:
-
launched its own e-commerce;
-
completed three collections;
-
participated in over 20 events throughout Italy to give a voice to sartorial craftsmanship.
Not just style, but a cultural act
In a fast-paced world, QuartoAtto slows down. It rejects the logic of fast fashion. It speaks of identity, memory, and respect for those who create and those who wear.
Our trousers are made to last, constructed with high-end materials (often deadstock), and crafted with tailoring expertise passed down through generations. Each piece is a dialogue between hands, memory, and vision.
Genderless, by choice
All our models are genderless. It's not just a question of aesthetics: it's sustainability, efficiency, and sharing.
A single style can live in multiple closets, reducing waste, and lowering costs without sacrificing quality. Because well-made trousers don't need labels.
Our Wardrobe: 5 Elements, 5 Languages
-
Aria – a reinterpretation of a pair of '80s trousers from my grandfather's collection. Elegant, loose, and flowing.
-
Fuoco – technical and tailored, with six pockets and adjustments: the trousers for every day.
-
Terra – high waist, tapered leg, classic yet contemporary.
-
Water – fluid palace, elongated lines, profound essentiality.
-
Astra – elegant and urban palace, tapered silhouette, contemporary spirit.
QuartoAtto isn't just a brand. It's our way of honoring the past and transforming it into the future. With slowness, precision, and a lot of passion.
Because for us, every pair of pants is an act. And every act, if done with love, leaves a mark.
